We help you succeed in your accounting studies by giving you the support of a whole team of Student Advisers, all with real life accounting experience. You will have one dedicated Student Adviser who will personally manage your program; and the benefit of a team around them to provide expert assistance in all subject areas.
Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping will build on the key concepts learnt from your hands on experience. Or if hesitant about starting study - start with Certificate III in Accounts Administration.
Certificate III in Accounts Administration is the right starting qualification for those wanting to broaden their administration skills as it teaches you the fundamentals needed for many Accounts jobs and prepares you for a higher qualification.
Certificate III in Accounts Administration is the ideal qualification. If you have the desire, it lays a good foundation for higher level accounting study.
Certificate III in Business Administration can be offered with accounts electives - providing a mix of office skills as well as accounts payable.
Certificate level qualifications are your hands on practical courses covering double entry bookkeeping concepts, preparation and analysis of financial statements. You need this prior knowledge to successfully enrol in a Diploma.
To register as a BAS Agent, the education requirements consist of the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and a Board Approved course covering GST/BAS taxation principles.
Although the GST/BAS taxation principles are covered in detail in our Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification, we have not applied for Board approval.
To meet the Board’s requirements, at least 40% of the assessment of the GST/BAS course must be completed under some form of independent supervision ie a test (that we do not plan to offer).
To find a training provider that meets the supervision requirement, please refer to www.tpb.gov.au.
If you are planning on becoming a bookkeeper, you do not need to register with the Tax Practitioners Board and as such the supervision requirements do not apply. Our Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping would be the ideal way of kick-starting your new career in this field.
Students enrolled in FNS30315, FNS40615, FNS40215 must have completed their course by 11 February 2019 and FNS50215 by 11 February 2020
Our application to ASQA to have the replacement qualifications added to our scope has been successful.
Students have been completed or transitioned accordingly, with just 15 Diploma students to complete by 2020.
The requirement is that you must have at least 6 units from the Certificate IV qualification.
If you do not already hold these units – you would enrol in the Certificate IV first.
ACCM College have designed our Certificate IV program to allow more confident students to progress quickly through this program and be ready for the Diploma. This means that we would have you complete the whole Certificate IV.
We have also maximised the Credit Transfers (that reduce both your work and fees) in the Diploma from having completed our Certificate IV program.
And if you are enrolled outside a funded program – we would provide a generous discount for entry into the Diploma within 3 months of completing our Certificate IV qualification, so that you are not financially disadvantaged by doing the full Certificate IV.
