Joel Sullivan - Exceeding Expectations!
2017 Queensland Training Awards
The NSW Regional Training Awards concluded on Friday 30th June with the Illawarra Regional Training Awards. A great night was had by all and ACCM’s plethora of finalists did not disappoint. James Wishart, ACCM trainee and employee, was awarded the Trainee of the Year Award 2017 for his outstanding work towards his Certificate IV in Information Technology Support.
As the NSW Regional Training Awards conclude, the Queensland Regional Training Awards begin. And another ACCM IT Student is hoping to mirror James' success.
ACCM student and Tec-NQ trainee, Joel Sullivan, will be attending the North Queensland Regional Training Awards final on July 14th. Like James, Joel will be hoping to take home the Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year Award for his outstanding work towards his Certificate IV in Information Technology Support.
When asked how it felt to be a finalist in the awards Joel said “I was overwhelmed with joy and excitement, I was proud of what I had achieved and how far I had come”.
Joel’s Student Adviser, Brett Riddett, was also excited to learn that Joel had made the finals. He said “Throughout his course, Joel has met every challenge presented to him with a will to succeed. Approaching his studies with enthusiasm, Joel enjoyed the learning process and the practical activities where he would excel. His course work exceeded expectations with multiple answers and additional side notes par for the course”.
The Student Advisers at ACCM are 100% committed to the student experience and Joel’s feedback about his personal college experience was no exception “My experience studying with ACCM was amazing, my trainers went out of their way to help me complete my competencies in my course. I found it very easy to talk to my trainers and ask for help. They were very knowledgeable. It has been great studying with ACCM”.
The winner of the Trainee of the Year award will head to Brisbane on Friday 1st September where the winners of the state awards will be announced.
Everyone here at ACCM wishes Joel the best of luck at the awards.
