Jeans for Genes Day
Jeans for Genes is a fundraising campaign for Children’s Medical Research Institute. They’re dedicated to creating a brighter future for children by finding, treating and preventing childhood diseases like cancer, blindness, liver disease and epilepsy, birth defects and genetic diseases.
Through research like this, many serious and fatal diseases no longer exist. Remember polio, smallpox and diphtheria? No?
Research does make a difference.
It will certainly make a difference to the 1 in 20 children still being born with a defect or disease - and their families.
We were wearing denim when we raised over $250 for Jeans for Genes and had fun doing it, but you can make a difference whether you’re wearing denim or not!
